As the team of the central library in Torezk we are planning to create on-line resources for young and older users in order to provide them with access to interesting and useful books, magazins, textbooks, videomaterials. The most serious problem of the modern world is the loss of interest for reading. How can we wake the interest for reading in the modern child?
We should create a new modern library with electronic catalogue, access to audio books and videos. Through using of e-readers and QR-codes we can reduce the lack of schoolbooks. The on-line library will provide children with all necessary literature. We aim for the access to the literature and educative videomaterials for the resident of our town.
Using new information technologies, we would like to attract new users. To our opinion QR-codes and e-readers would change the attitude to the book and reading. Even your people who are not really interested in reading would open new resources using QR-codes.
The project is for schoolchildren, their parents and schoolteachers.
Modern technologies can prolong the life of books. Internet and book can complement each other and open the access to more information and knowledge.
